pax-utils software package provides Security-focused ELF files checking tool, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install pax-utils
pax-utils is installed in your system.
Make ensure the pax-utils package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep pax-utils *
You will get with pax-utils package name, version, architecture and description in a table
